Rudolf Goosen Shares His Story:

Most people live their whole life waiting for that one-time opportunity to come their way. But the reality is that it’s practically impossible to create opportunity. Simply for the reason that opportunity is all around us, every second of every day and “The purpose of opportunity is to be recognised and capitalised upon” – Taking your life to the next level.

Many people are in jobs, relationships, or financial positions that feel like a dead-end, or seem like a never-ending nightmare. Sadly, only one percent of the world’s population understand and know how to make things work for themselves; that is why they are in possession of ninety-nine percent of the world’s wealth and opportunities. The secret is personal development. I say personal because regardless of what position, title or business you have, if your personal development is not up to scratch, then everything else will be either tasteless or in a downward spiral. You will not be able to live life in euphoria. It’s like the saying goes: “Love yourself before loving someone else.”

In order to also fall into the one percentile of successful and contended people, you need to make peace with yourself and the fact that you are lacking some important skills to apply yourself - taking your execution to the next level. You get two kinds of people in this world; those who walk into a room saying: “Oh, there you are,” and those who walk in saying: “Here I am.” Who do you want to be? Or more importantly, which one are you currently? Perhaps you like to be invisible to the world, but please be mindful about that next time you complain about not getting that promotion, feeling sorry for yourself, gaining weight, or sitting in traffic like everyone else.

The key to becoming a more improved version of yourself, living closer to your dreams, or even making your dreams become your reality, is to be prepared. Opportunity is freely available, but it only seeks out those who are prepared to do something with it. The good news is that anything you see in your mind, you can hold in your hand. Fifty-two publishers told me that my newly released book would never see the inside of a bookstore, let alone that I would manage to complete the process. Today the reality is that my book is outselling most books in its genre. People are emailing me from all over the world, thanking me for writing my book. Did it take hard work and fighting off the naysayers? Off course it did, but I knew that if I could see it in my mind, I would be able to hold it in my hand. So you can too!

Every lesson that I share in my book is based on personal experience; building it from the bottom up in different aspects of life, and if you really want to, you can do the same or even better!

I guess the saying if you want to become an eagle, you can’t spend time with turkeys is true, and for that reason, I would like to thank LMI, and especially Naomi, for your friendship and on-going support in my personal journey of becoming the best version of myself.
